Resources

Michael Campbell’s Favorite eBooks, Courses, Tools & Software

Here are what I consider to be the best internet marketing strategies, methods and tools available at this time. Use them to do keyword research, find niches, examine your competitors, enhance your search engine positioning and get the most out of your paid advertising.

New tools and resources are created all the time. Others go off the market or stop working. Be sure to check back often, or bookmark this page to find your way back. If you check here first, you’ll know if it’s a tool or service that I recommend.

The resources are broken into the four main components of running a profitable business. Training, Research, Production and Marketing. All four are essential to success.

Training

This is where it begins. Pick a methodology and stick to it. Apply it as the author suggests before buying more courses. If you’d like to try your hand at affiliate marketing, the training page features courses that I recommend.

Research

Is there a market? Is it profitable? Is it something that you know about already? Do you have any passion or interest to you keep motivated? Use these tools to find a niche, do keyword research, analyze the competition and optimize your websites for the search engines.

Production

In this stage you are producing your websites, making pages and setting up blogs. You decide on a design, add content, source graphics and put it all together. Use these tools to create and grow your online business.

Marketing

Finally it comes down to getting the word out, letting people, the directories and search engines know about your site. But it’s important to remember, search engines don’t buy anything. People do.

Getting traffic is only half the battle. What’s harder and more important to do, is to persuade your reader to take some form of action once they reach your site.

It’s important to deliver on what your PPC ad said. Or if they found you using the search engines, what your site’s Title and Description said. You must continue that conversation in the mind of the consumer as reach your landing page.

Reinforce the original message right at the top of the landing page, to get their attention. Use a compelling story, sub headlines and bullets to keep their interest.

Appeal to the human nature of the individual by engaging them in an emotional story and building desire. Persuade them to take the desired course of action, to address their need, want, or desire, whether it’s a click, signup, download or sale. That’s how the money is earned.

If you want to get good at sales, then you need to study the science of persuasion. SEO and site building are largely static step-by-step processes. Engagement, persuasion and selling are more dynamic, and a lot harder for most people.

If you have visitors coming to your site through SEO or PPC, and your site is converting around 1%, that used to be normal back in 2003. We now know that through the use of persuasion, certain graphics and text elements, that the average site converts at 2.4%.

But what if you could make your site convert as high as 8%? Many sites are doing it. They have become masters of engagement, sales and persuasion. Use these tactics and tools to advertise your website, get more traffic and persuade visitors to take your desired course of action.
